CHILD SUPPORT AGENCY (CSA)
INFORMATION SESSION
Morisset Multi Purpose Centre on Tuesday, 23rd February 2010
5PM – 7PM
A CSA community information session is conducted to provide a brief introduction or overview of the CSA.
The local Member of Parliament is invited to speak to the community.
CSA Customers who are separated parents within the area will be invited and provided ample time to obtain personal information and assistance on their own particular case from our experienced case officers in a one-on-one situation.
There will be a range of external community providers invited by the CSA, for example, Centrelink, Legal Aid, financial and counseling organisations that will be able to set up a table and provide their services in this environment to those parents who attend.
Our information sessions have proven to be an effective way for CSA and other community providers to service customers who may not have the opportunity to visit a CSA office during business hours. It also promotes support services that are available to customers in their local area.
About the Child Support Agency
The Child Support Agency (CSA) plays a crucial role in supporting separated families.
As part of the Department of Human Services (Commonwealth Government organisation), CSA supports separated parents to provide financial support for their children. We calculate payments, and collect and transfer them between parents. We also help separated parents and their children through a range of self-help tools and active referrals to Government and community support services. Our Vision – Children can rely on their parents for the financial and emotional support necessary for their well being.
